One of my interests is the city of Moscow and it's developments. It is one of the biggest metropoles in Europe, together with London and Istanbul. I have visited it many timesnow and every time I find a new development or interesting area. On the Russia Today site I found a nice video which gives an overall impression of the current developments of the city, please check it.

And here is a video of the prestigious Moscow City project. Originally started when Russia became capitalist in the wild nineties. For modern office space big buildings were needed which were unwanted in the historical center. On close distance to it and connenct by the river Moskva this CBD was planned. Nowadays some of the towers are finished, some are being built or halted halfway. Many of the first projects don't have enough parkingspace, probably because this is an expensive piece of the project without much yield to it. So now the city is thinking about building parking space on the lots which are not yet developed. Bad luck when you are the developing owner of them I guess.
The new mayor of Moscow, Sobyanin promised to make an solution to the daily gridlock. Surprisingly he wants to built more roads, which willl probably not help. Experts said Moscow needs more metrolines, of an total length of about 300 km, and to make them connect to all sorts of transportnodes to make them effective. Sobyanin wants to built maximum 15 km every year. By doing some quick scientific calculations the gridlock will be solved in about 20 years from now.
Here a video of the transport problem.
